Sekinchan is a little town in the middle of the main rice-bowl area of Selangor, in the Sabak Bernam district. It is about 102 km north of Kuala Lumpur, 28 km from Kuala Selangor.
The Sekinchan orchard is not only our first field planting; it is also the first Lemon Myrtle orchard to be established outside of Australia.
We began planting in 2010 and we now have two fields totalling 5.4 acres managed by our small holder farmer. Crop harvesting began 9 months after planting with an incredible initial biomass of double the Australian yield profile.
Our leaf processing facility is situated here at the farm in Sekinchan and has the capacity to process 500kg every 3 days.
